“Words can’t describe how Beck has changed my life recently. I’m working on a lot of projects and I get sidetracked. Having had the structure of being a teacher when I was younger and now being retired, that structure is gone. I don’t know what it is, but I now suffer from brain fog and get distracted very easily.
These projects I needed to do were always hanging over me like a black cloud. My daughter suggested body doubling, which at first I thought meant you actually get somebody to help you work. I’ve never needed that — I have motivation — but from my first session with Beck, she was so helpful, patient, caring, and understanding.
More than anything, it’s something I feel embarrassed about — that I can’t motivate myself to get my work done. Procrastination has become a big thing. During my sessions with Beck, I actually concentrate. I do get sidetracked, but I realise it quickly and pull myself back and get back on track, because this is my session set aside to do this work.
It’s not only wonderful while I’m working with her, but it keeps me motivated during the day. The amount of work I’ve gotten done since I met Beck is amazing. From the bottom of my heart, Beck, thank you for who you are — your patience with me, your caring, your interest in my many projects that go all over the place.
